PsyMood is a startup that aims to improve people’s well-being by providing them with mental health support. In this special session, specialists will discuss the differences culture perspectives about mental health.
Speakers:
Nadia Prando is an adolescent, adult, family and couple’s therapist. Ms. Prando completed her M.A. in clinical Psychology at the Pontifical University Catholic of São Paulo in Brazil. She has extensive training in parent-infant attachment and pregnancy related mental health and well-being. She has worked in hospital settings, for non-governmental organizations and in private practice.
Hader Farhan has an undergraduate degree in the field of Early Childhood Studies with an emphasis on children with disabilities from Ryerson University. She was able to work with families and early childhood educators in order to come together to best support children living with Autism. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queens University.
Mike Stroh is a registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), he works with people struggling with addictions, anxiety and depression. He works with couples and incorporates mindfulness in his sessions. He is a founder of a consultancy business specializing in k-12 education and workplace mental health.
Marina Lohmann is a consultant at PsyMood and the host of this PsyMood Session. she is passionate about helping people reach their full potential, she holds a BA in Psychology in Brazil, an MBA in Strategic Human Resource Management, a coaching certificate, and finished her Masters in Industrial Relations at Universite de Montreal. Having lived in many countries, she knows well the gains and the pains of moving to a new country and starting a new life.
